My name is Mrs. Stefanie Kelly.
I've been a teacher for 18 years in various capacities. I have taught in elementary, middle, high school and college.
I graduated from Xavier University, University of Cincinnati and Indiana Wesleyan University. I also studied at Miami University as well as the Hadley School for the Blind. I am proficient in first grade Braille and my son an I are learning sign language.
I am currently an 8th grade E/LA teacher at Godley Station. I also have been moonlighting for the past 6 years as a Georgia Southern/Armstrong Campus Professor. I teach in the Criminal Justice, Political and Social Sciences Department.
I have a large family and I enjoy spending every moment I can with my children. We love to swim, bike, skate, draw, build, go to church and jump on the trampoline together. My children are truly awesome and I love them dearly.
I am an avid runner. I participate as a sighted runner for my son who has disabilities. We have competed in as many 5k's, 8 k's, 10 k's, half-marathons and marathons as we can for the past 6 years. I have also been a sole runner for numerous 30k's and 50k's. Needless to say, I love to run! I enjoy reading and drinking hot chocolate. Some of my new favorite books are The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Katie DiCamillo, Just Mercy by Brian Stevenson, A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness and The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom.
